One of the challenges for Clark County moving forward will be to have a supply of smaller lite industrial buildings where start-ups and entreprenuers can nurture companies. The dynamics of our land use policies, create expense levels that discourage development of new business or industrial parks that could house these companies. The CREDC has nurturing local start ups as one of it’s key components, Clark County officials have stated for years we need more shovel ready land for jobs.
Yet the shortage continues. I’ve included a link to my most recent article in the Vancouver Business Journal about the experience one of my clients had recently trying to locate his company in a suitable space.
