I attended the Battle Ground Chamber of Commerce annual Treasures in the City – 2013 Recognition Banquet.  This is a very well attended, and high quality event, and highlights one of the great communities we have in Clark County.  18 citizens are recognized for outstanding contribution to the community.

I was attending to help support my friend Russell Brent who was nominated in two categories, Business of the Year and Business  Person of the year.

I’ve been priveleged to help partner with Russell on two Commercial Real estate transactions, one of them being helping advise him on his Lease at the Gardner Center, for the Mill Creek Pub, which he opened in November of 2011.

His strategy in some ways was very simple, provide great food, and tie the restaurant into the heart of Battle Ground  by being engaged in the community.  You might recall my interview with him on Commercial Real Estate West – my radio show , where he talked about how excited he was to be in Battle Ground.

Clearly  the community has been excited to have him there as he won both awards, he was nominated for.  Here is a clip of  him accepting the Business Person of the year award.  Many congratulations to all the nominees, and award winners, and we kow even more good things are in store for Russell and the Mill Creek Pub   over this next year.
