On January 12, North Creek Church, known as Coffee Church held their first service in their new sanctuary at 811 NE 88th Circle. You’ve probably seen this church from I-5 as it is just south of the Hazel Dell Wal-Mart. It had been the home of an International Four Square Gospel congregation for the past six years. North Creek had been tenants at the old Winery building at 104th and Highway 99 had bee seeking new space to accommodate their growing programs for a couple of years.
Coffee church – they think coffee describes them best- you imagine a drinking cup of coffee, you might think of relaxing with friends or enjoying a stunning view. That’s how church should be…fun, relaxing, and all the while giving you the boost you need to go through your week!
At all of their services you can expect creative messages that are relevant to what’s going on in your life. Services are an hour and five minutes long with a casual dress code. It is a comfortable environment that easily fits into your life, yet provides you with a worthwhile experience. You can also expect top notch childcare for children from birth through 5th grade. The weekly schedule includes a Sunday morning gathering at both the Battle Ground and Vancouver locations, with separate environments for kids. In addition, they have multiple small groups that meet throughout the community each week to help provide support for personal and spiritual growth. They second campus at 500 Eaton Boulevard in Battle Ground has an 11:30 service catering to the Deaf.
North Creek, led by Pastor Mark Newell and Chris Harold has been on a steady growth path, and having worked with them over the past six months to acquire the new building I can see why. Committed, energetic and full of passion and vision to help individuals and families find inspiration to serve.
Growing churches have their own unique sets of problems in trying to locate space, and purchasing their buildings and we faced our share in acquiring this property. However I’d like to say watching the leadership of North Creek in action you will see more growth in their future.
Congratulations to the entire North Creek community here in Clark County.
